ATLANTA – Today Governor Brian Kemp was honored to receive endorsements from Attorney General Chris Carr and Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John King. Regarding these endorsements, Governor Kemp released the following statement:

“Attorney General Carr has been a strong partner in backing law enforcement and taking the fight to criminals across our state. His work with First Lady Marty Kemp and the GRACE Commission to bring an end to human trafficking has helped our administration champion the most vulnerable and hold bad actors accountable. Our family is grateful for his service and his friendship, and we’re proud to have his support.

“Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner General John King is a friend and great leader. As a member of the Georgia National Guard, he has been an integral part in our fight against COVID-19, traveling across Georgia and throughout our country to support the Guardsmen serving our communities. His leadership at the Department of Insurance has helped restore trust in one of our state’s largest agencies, and Marty, the girls, and I are grateful for his support as well as his service to our state and nation.”

“Governor Brian Kemp has shown incredible leadership during very challenging times, and I am proud to stand with him. Under Governor Kemp, Georgians are safer and our economy is thriving because he took a balanced approach during the pandemic that protected both lives and livelihoods. He is battling crime by going after gangs and human trafficking, he has created tens of thousands of new jobs, and he is aggressively pushing back against the unlawful Biden mandates and federal overreach. On one tough issue after another, Brian Kemp has governed as a decisive conservative, and that’s what we need for four more years.” – Attorney General Chris Carr

“From championing law enforcement bonuses and decrying the ‘Defund the Police’ movement to attending the funerals of those lost in the line of duty, Governor Brian Kemp has an undeniable commitment to our men and women in uniform. As a lawman and soldier, I am proud to stand with Governor Kemp as he seeks re-election in 2022 because he unapologetically stands with us – and always will.” – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner General John King
