ATLANTA – Following a story in Newsweek where an adviser to Stacey Abrams is quoted saying Abrams plans to use the 2022 race for governor in Georgia as a stepping stone to the presidency, Kemp for Governor campaign manager Bobby Saparow released the following statement:

“After making millions off her failed 2018 campaign and lies about Georgia’s Election Integrity Act, it is clear Stacey Abrams is now planning to use hardworking Georgians as her stepping stone to even more money and power. The unfortunate truth for Stacey is her dangerous agenda to defund the police, strip away the 2nd Amendment, undermine election integrity, and then fulfill her true ambitions of running for president will be rejected by Georgia voters next year. Governor Kemp is in the fight to put Georgians first and keep Stacey Abrams’ radical ideas from destroying the future of our state.”
