ATLANTA – Thanks to the leadership of Governor Brian Kemp and Republicans in the General Assembly to pass and sign the Election Integrity Act (SB 202) earlier this year, the Heritage Foundation ranked Georgia No. 1 in their newly released election integrity scorecard. Georgia received top marks for voter ID requirements, vote harvesting restrictions, and verification of citizenship.
“As Secretary of State for nine years and now as Governor, I am proud to lead the fight to ensure Georgia’s elections are secure, accessible, and fair,” said Governor Kemp. “While woke activists and far-left liberals tried to cancel our state for standing up for common-sense measures like ID requirements for absentee ballots and secure drop boxes, Georgia Republicans stood strong for election integrity and this ranking shows it.
“I am grateful to Heritage for their recognition of Georgia’s leadership on election integrity, and I will continue fighting to ensure Georgia’s elections are the most secure in the country.”
